Creative Event Lighting..in a snow storm

…Well a snow storm is a slight exaggeration, but having prepared for rain, we really hadn’t expected snow. However, the many adventures we had creating the lighting for this event, will be saved for another day. By the time the guests arrived, the snow had stopped falling and the sight that awaited them made all of our effort worth it. Have a look at the video below to see the wedding lighting we used in this Arctic tundra (of Hampshire).

Inflatable Big Ben

Silchester Music Festival

Landirani Live

If there is one great thing about festivals, it is the people we meet and the chance to catch up with old friends. And Landirani Live was no exception. A new festival on the calendar (and we very much hope there are more to follow) was organised by the fab Pip Whately and her team and friends enabled us to have a lot of laughs.

The music involved some 12 acts, varying from a single guitar and vocal set up. This included African drums with a didjeridoo. Other instruments amongst the various acts included a Kora, Glock, Cello, Flute, Zinger and a Cajon! Indeed, many of the instruments we had not come across before so made for an interesting challenge for us ‘soundies’.

Along with the sound PA, ORA Productions supplied the main marquee and staging, as well as the power distribution for the site. And event Pip sent us these kind words:

“I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything – you’ve been amazing! I couldn’t have got through this and made it the success it was without you – not talking bout the kit (which obviously was fantastic!) but the fact you were on the end of the line all the time for me – giving me advice and taking on a complete novice……”

BPM tradeshow at the NEC, Birmingham

We very much enjoyed our outing with The Ministry of Sound to set up their stand at this DJing show. ORA productions provided the trussing, lights, a sound PA and power distro.

New Premises

ORA is moving into a brand new 4000sq.ft. building in the next month. This should significantly enhance our and service product offerings, with plenty of space to set-up, design and test lighting shows, and so forth. We will keep you posted on progress!
